Would you eat this?

Early this morning I got into Matea's bed to squeeze in a few more moments of sleep snuggle with her. Elijah and Isaac came in and whispered, "Mom. We're making you a surprise. Don't come in the kitchen 'til we tell you to." Lay in bed a little longer?  No problem.  I thought I made out one of them saying, "spinach," and then, "peanut butter," so naturally, I thought I was getting a smoothie!

When they were ready to usher me into the kitchen, this was the breakfast creation waiting for me.  You're probably wondering what's in this little beauty, so I'll indulge your curiosity.  Butter, peanut butter, spinach, jam and marshmallows.  "It's to go with your coffee, Mom.  Make your coffee and then eat it."  Oh dear.  I wasn't sure I could stomach such a thing first thing in the morning.  Luckily the three that were awake each actually wanted a piece of my precious breakfast treat.  I was quick to reassure them that I love sharing my special treats with them.  :)

I've always known my kids love PB&J, love spinach and love marshmallows....I didn't realize that their pallets were indiscriminate about the mixing of said flavors.  New breakfast idea, anyone?
