Sunday we went out to Elgin to cut down our Christmas tree. Elijah learned that when you're going out into a field full of fire ants and sticker burrs, you should
not wear flip flops.

This is my daughter...we don't call her "gecko girl" for nothing.

This child is always sticking her tongue out.

Samuel, showing off his superior sense of balance.

And here is our tree! If you're wondering about our random attire, it was 76* outside - my kids have just officially forgotten that they're Oregonians. On a side note, the next day was 38*! And later this week it's going to be back up in the 70's again!
We finished off the day with our ANNUAL Eggnog-Making party with the Norrises! We love eggnog, love homemade, and love the company of good friends. It was so much fun to make our totally raw, organic liquid goodness with Jon and Morgan, and everyone (except Adam, who likes his extra-sweet!) agreed that Alton Brown's recipe was even better than the one we used last year. We made a triple batch, and ours was all gone by the next day!
Taste-testers gave it the thumbs-up.
