All About Samuel

Samuel fits many "job descriptions" these days. Some of these are from his own mouth, others are from mine. He is a:

First Grader, Masseuse, Barista, Athlete, Duct Tape Specialist, Lego Expert, Cookie Dough Taster, Lucca's Master, Rock Climber, Herbalist, Professional Jumper, Stunt Master, Budding Reader, Math Lover, Biggest Brother and Prayer Warrior.

He's currently working on getting on track in Ms. Lapeyre's class, and has even made a couple of friends. There is a girl in his class who lives just over the fence from us. The two of them have gotten along well and enjoyed playing back and forth between our houses.

We also just signed up for football in the spring. This is a sport Samuel's always wanted to play, and I've found some relief in the fact that it doesn't start (at least in Oregon) until around 3rd grade or so. Here, on the other hand, the league starts at 4 years old. It figures - people here are crazy about their football. So, all that to say, Samuel will be starting football soon!

We've had Emma and Honeybee visiting, and we're looking forward to visits from Poppy and Charley next month.

Last night he decided that his new favorite restaurant is a local tex-mex joint called Chuy's (pronounced, "Chewie's"). Good choice, Samuel! Rest assured that if you come to visit, we'll be taking you there!

Oh, and Samuel's weight is 55 lbs. His height is...somewhere around 48 or 50 inches, maybe? Tall enough to ride all the rides at Disney (and that's all that matters)!
