3 Years!

This month has brought a trip, 2 birthdays and an anniversary. 

So, this post is late.

Matea's birthday was 2 weeks ago.  She is lovely.  Which is a fitting description, because one of her favorite going-to-sleep songs right now is "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder.  She loves having me or Daddy sing over her.

I love Matea's nurturing and compassionate spirit.  She has a great tenacity and determination.

She loves to recite rhymes and sing songs.  Her favorites are "A Whole New World," "I Love You a Bushel And a Peck," "Shoo Fly," "This Is My Father's World," and of course, her all-time favorite, "To God Be the Glory."  She knows the first two verses by heart, and she sings them often. 

She loves to draw, and the colors pink and purple.  She build lego ships with her brothers and wrestles with the best of them. 

She loves animals, especially baby ones.  She loves to help me. 

She wants to do anything and everything.  She thrives on adrenaline rushes. 

She is learning how to swim.
