It's Been a Week

 

It's been a week.  A long, long week of adjustments and jet lag. 

Abraham is doing fabulously.  He is such a joy, and we all just love him.  But it's still an adjustment, and every day has had its ups and downs. 

Don't you just want to eat him up?!

Today I am thankful for this woman, Abraham's nanny in Addis.  Her love for "Abrechu" was so evident to us when we were at his orphanage.  Can't you just see it in her eyes?  She cried when he left for the last time, and I am so thankful that she loved and nurtured our little boy until we came for him, enough for tears when it was time for him to go home.  I am confident that he would not be doing as well as he is if it hadn't been for her.
