Here are some pictures of our Advent time together last night. A friend of Samuel's joined us for the evening, so the four kids (well, if you count Isaac as participatory, which is quite a stretch) had a great evening. Afterward we went to see the Christmas lights that some of our friends in the neighborhood had just put up. They used 90,000 lights (we have 400 on our house!) and the icing on the cake was a huge spotlight that they set up shining out of the manger in their nativity scene (Jesus is the Light of the world - get it?). It required something like 4 days to set it all up, and it was very impressive. But then that the kids wanted to know why we can't have 90,000 lights up like them. The grass is always greener, you know.
