Travel Journal: [pause] About Our Travel Group

left to right: Abraham, Moses, Maleah, Bereket, Addie, Teagan, Nathaniel

God orchestrated a wonderful mix of families for us to join.
Among our travel group we had a family practice doctor, a physical therapist, a photographer, and sweet first-time parents.  Two families were veteran adopters, one had previous experience in Ethiopia and other parts of Africa.  About half the group was from our beloved West Coast, which we enjoy talking up so much.  Good humor abounded, and every couple had a sweet, generous heart about them and gratefully shared themselves with the people around them.  It was a community that we are so thankful to have been a part of.

A couple of the families have put together slide shows since returning home.  They are both beautiful accounts of Ethiopia, adoption and HOPE.

Riann's tribute to Ethiopia and adoption:

Amie's tribute to the families in our group:

Such a special time; such special people. We laughed, cried, talked, shared our resources, and essentially walked alongside each other as we each experienced the highs and lows of adoption together.

Oh my goodness, look at Bereket!!! This photo will be one that i look back on and think about how far she has come. She was so scared. Poor baby. We are beyond blessed to know you and the rest of our travel partners. It was truly a dreamy group. I'm really hoping we plan a reunion next summer.
