Our first pick for camping this year was the Lost Pines area of Central Texas. We camped at the state park just outside of historic Bastrop, Texas.Our campgrounds had lots of cool hiking trails, woods for exploring, and water for fishing and canoeing.
Uncle Jesse came along. Some of the highlights were seeing the variety of colorful birds, watching Samuel and Elijah sharpen their fire-making skills, sliding down pine needle-cushioned hillsides, playing Nertz with Samuel and Elijah, hiking through the beautiful pine forest, and seeing little miss Matea love her first experience with tent camping.
