A Trip to the San Jose Zoo

I know it seems like we were just at a zoo, but you know, every zoo is different! We found a RV site to hook up last night in San Jose, so in the morning we hopped on the internet and looked up fun things to do in the city. It turned out that they have a zoo that's geared toward 2-10 year olds - perfect! So we had a leisurely morning, then made our way to the San Jose Zoo - on a side note, it's reciprocal with the Oregon Zoo, so we got in free - which is actually one half zoo and one half park. The zoo side was mostly small animals, many of them touchable and feedable. After we had seen everything there was to see we hung out at the park side, which has an amusement park feel to it. Then we got back in the motorhome and set off for our next stop, Ventura, to see the Piasentins - Aunt Becky, Uncle Joey, and cousins Zac and Nick (A.R.'s side) - 3 hours away.

At the moment we've just landed in Ventura, hooked up at an RV site on Ventura Beach for $55 (southern California prices have arrived!), and Adam has left for the showers before we go to bed. Ordinarily this would be a good thing, as I really appreciate cleanliness, except that when he left he was wearing my flip flops instead of his - something about that his take too long to dry when they get wet...yeah.
